China’s machinery sector has seen enormous growth in the last decade, benefitting from the country’s industrialisation process, technological upgrading and supply-side reforms. China is now the world’s largest producer, consumer and importer of machinery in many segments. Over the years, the sector has attracted large foreign investment, including from the EU – where most of the machinery enterprises are SMEs.
At the same time, the sector is highly correlated with macroeconomic shifts and government policy – especially the push for localisation at the core of the Made in China 2025 strategy which aims to transform China into a globally leading manufacturing power in key strategic sectors. This presents new opportunities to EU SMEs, as well as risks. In this context, and against the backdrop of international mobility limitations, recruiting and retaining capable talents will be vital for achieving growth in China.
This webinar – jointly organised by the EU SME Centre with DCCC – Danish Chamber of Commerce in China, Fiducia China team of experts will provide a detailed overview of the regulatory framework, standardisation system, and market entry scenarios in China’s machinery sector, highlighting the localisation trend as well as the consequent challenges and the opportunities for EU SMEs. The second part of the webinar will provide tips on how to recruit and retain Chinese talents in the machinery sector
You will be able to submit questions during the webinar, but you are also welcome to send them in advance. Please submit your questions when you sign up.
