History

Where we come from

Fiducia was established by Jürgen Kracht, a German national who has lived in Hong Kong since 1971. As foreign interest in the region grew, Jürgen and his wife Cynthia Kracht recognised the need for consulting and corporate services. In 1982, the husband and wife team launched Fiducia from a small office on Wyndham Street in Central Hong Kong.

Our name

Fiducia means “trust” in Latin and this is what we provide in the challenging Chinese market. Our name signifies our commitment to be a trustworthy and reliable partner and to provide our clients with knowledge and experience on how to succeed – a crucial factor in China.

Our logo

Our logo is based on the medieval crest of Lippe, the region where Fiducia’s co-founder Jürgen Kracht was born.

Jürgen and Cynthia Kracht opened Fiducia Limited in Hong Kong on June 18th, offering Corporate Services and Finance & Accounting

1984

Growing with China’s foreign trade

As China’s foreign trade takes off, Fiducia introduces China Trade Services (now Trade & Technology)

1988

New advisory services

A dedicated China Consulting team is established to provide market intelligence and advisory services

1994

Expanding to Shanghai

Fiducia opens a new office in Shanghai – our first in mainland China

1996

The first issue of China Focus is published

Expanding to Shenzhen

With the opening of a new office in Shenzhen, Fiducia expands its South China presence
