VDMA China – Beijing Representative Office invited Fiducia and Trumpf to share their insights and experiences on the growing field of Additive Manufacturing.

Additive Manufacturing offers an entirely new way of how we manufacture products. Especially for China, the proliferation of this new technology could have a substantial impact, as the costs of labor and manufacturing are on the rise. This event will give you a deeper look and comprehensive understanding of Additive Manufacturing. The variety of additive manufacturing processes is impressive in terms of the type of technology implemented, performance and applications and offers an entirely new way of how to manufacture products.

Claudia Barkowsky, Chief Representative of the VDMA China Beijing Representative Office, gave a brief introduction and present the VDMA Working Group “Additive Manufacturing”.

Marshall Chen, Head of Fiducia’s China Consulting Team, addressed why Additive Manufacturing is on the rise, how it will change the way we manufacture, how to it will affect your business in China and how you can attract the right talent with suitable expertise in the field.

The presentation by Andreas Weller, General Manager Laser Technology of TRUMPF (China) Co., Ltd., gave insights from a company on how 3D-Printing is already used in manufacturing, its importance and the potential for the future.

Due to the size of the group in attendance, an in-depth and interesting discussion ensued. Overall all participants were very satisfied and involved!
