SUMMARY:The Corporate Social Credit System - A Practical Approach
DESCRIPTION:The full implementation of the Corporate Social Credit System (CSCS)\, China’s new scoring framework to rate the behaviour of businesses\, is looming over us. To be on the safe side\, companies operating in China are ramping up their preparations for this new system that brings compliance requirements to a whole new level. \nBack in April\, the Communist Party’s Central Committee rolled out a plan for a single\, all-encompassing database that would include every company’s records (from utility bills to tax payments) and would reward or sanction businesses accordingly. \n\n\n\n\nOne of the main concerns of companies today is the lack of clarity that still clouds this plan and its implementation. How can companies check their own score and that of partners? Should employers keep track of their staff’s personal ratings too? \nIn this seminar\, Fiducia Expert Hudson He will address these and other common questions. As a participant\, you can expect to walk out of the event with an outline of key actions you can take to make sure that the CSCS does not catch your company off guard. \nThis event will then be followed by a wine tasting & networking evening. \n\n\nAgenda\n16:30 – 17:15 Fiducia\n17:15 – 17:30 Break\n17:30 – 18:15 JYC Law Firm\n18:15 – 18:30 Q&A\n19:00 – 21:00 Wine Tasting \nSpeaker\n \nHudson He\nFinance and Accounting Manager\, Fiducia Management Consultants \nHudson He heads both South and North China Finance and Accounting teams and travels frequently between these locations. He comes from a background of working for 6+ years in a “Big 4” accounting firm. Before joining Fiducia\, Hudson worked in a technological Sino-US joint venture as a finance/audit manager responsible for China mainland accounts. He is an experienced CPA registered with the China Association of Certified Public Accountants. He holds an MBA from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Hudson is a native Chinese speaker and speaks English fluently. \nFiducia Management Consultants have been helping clients to successfully establish business operations in Greater China for 37 years. SUMMARY:Navigating China's Retail and E-Commerce Market
DESCRIPTION:China’s retail market is on its way to becoming the largest in the world. The country’s 1.3 billion consumers have fuelled the growth of B2C brands worldwide for decades and now account for a large chunk of multinationals’ global revenues. \nToday\, the fast-growing middle class in China has an increased appetite for foreign premium products such as sporting goods\, luxury clothing\, electric vehicles and food. Thus\, the market still offers great potential for foreign retailers. \nBut what are the key success factors to focus on when entering a market as vast and fast-paced as China’s? The retail landscape has become so saturated and complex that it’s more vital than ever for new entrants to go beyond a superficial understanding of the local market. In order to succeed\, foreign companies need to master the finesse of both online and offline commerce. \nIn this seminar\, Fiducia expert Rita Ma will outline how to navigate through the Chinese retail industry\, efficiently structure your brand distribution in China\, find reliable business partners and prepare for the world’s largest e-commerce market. \nSpeaker\n \nRita Ma\, China Consulting Manger – Fiducia Management Consultants \nRita is the head of Fiducia’s China Consulting team and has 12 years of experience in providing local Chinese and multinational clients with cutting-edge market expertise and strategic advice for market entry and growth in the Chinese market. She has extensive experience in various industries and B2B\, B2C and B2B2C products. In her role\, she has supported international clients in connecting with offline channel partners and reputable e-commerce marketplaces such as Alibaba.com and JD.com. \nBefore joining Fiducia\, Rita worked for 8+ years at global consulting firm Accenture in Greater China and 2 years with Business Sweden in Shanghai\, serving branded clients such as Huawei\, Ping An Group\, China Mobile\, Alfa Laval and Husqvarna. SUMMARY:Welthandel im Wandel
SUMMARY:Sourcing Round Table 2019 - Shanghai
DESCRIPTION:Together with our German consulting partner h&z\, we are pleased to invite you to the sixth annual Sourcing Roundtable in Shanghai. \nE-commerce\, the “on-demand” economy\, and a host of other disruptive forces are reshaping global supply chains. They are also forcing trading companies and buying offices to ask themselves: how can we remain relevant and profitable in the long run? \nThis year’s discussions will centre around three pressing challenges faced by those sourcing from China: \n\nChina + 1: China remains the go-to sourcing destination for most\, but finding a “+1” has become imperative. Which sourcing markets are emerging as a real alternative?\nCustomer-centricity: Increasingly\, those who cater to consumers’ demand for speed\, customisation\, and sustainability thrive. How can middlemen drive and monetise customer centricity?\nTechnology: While some emerging technologies help to unlock profitability and optimise the cost-value relationship\, others can be seen as “smoke and mirrors”. What type of digital systems and strategies make sense for your business?\n\nRegister Now!

SUMMARY:Online oder Offline – aktuelle Herausforderungen beim Vertrieb in China
SUMMARY:China’s Green Shift: Environmental Regulations And Their Impacts For Foreign Businesses
DESCRIPTION:Reducing pollution is one of the three “battles” which China’s government has pledged to fight over the next few years. Since 2017\, the central government has taken unprecedented action against environmentally non-compliant businesses and government officials\, displaying enough political muscle to prove its point: China’s green push is here to stay. \nOur upcoming event “China’s Green Shift” will shed light on what this green shift means for foreign companies in China and how they should adapt. Marshall Chen\, China Consulting Manager at Fiducia Management Consultants and Samuel Sabasteanski\, Senior Consultant at North Head\, will discuss how businesses who adapt sooner rather than later\, and do so with a systematic and strategic approach\, will be able to ensure compliance\, minimise the cost burden\, and turn sustainability into a source of competitive advantage. \nKey Topics: \n\nAir pollution levels in the biggest cities in China and the comparison with the national standards\nEnvironmental protection tax and it means for the foreign businesses\nChina’s green tech market and new growth opportunities\nEnvironmental health check\nPlastic waste: Policymakers’ and consumers’ growing attention towards reducing plastic waste\, and how businesses are capitalizing on this trend\n\n  \nTo RSVP\, please email events@austcham.org

SUMMARY:The Future of Business in China - Open Door Policy vs. Great Firewall
DESCRIPTION:China has pledged to keep its doors wide open to the world\, yet the trade war keeps escalating. The government is cutting red tape for foreign businesses\, but it’s also making the “Great Firewall” ever more impenetrable. Amid these mixed signals\, should foreign businesses be optimistic or cautious about China? \nCompliance in accounting\, tax and HR belongs to one of the key issues in today’s China business. Furthermore\, in the recent years new environmental regulations\, which are strictly enforced by officials\, are putting the focus on an additional area of compliance in China and often hit international companies unprepared. We will answer which measures should be taken to adapt appropriately to today’s compliance environment in China. \nJoin us for our interchamber seminar with EU Chamber of Commerce\, Tianjin on April 10th. for thought-provoking\, practice-oriented discussions that will help you identify “open doors” in the Chinese market\, as well as tackle new risks & roadblocks\, to ensure growth in uncertain times. \nHere you can also find the link to our latest publication“Is China’s Door Closing?” \nLanguage: English \nAgenda: \n3:00 – 3:15 PM Registration \n3:15 – 4:00 PM Presentation by Mr. Florian Braunsteiner \n4:00 – 4:15 PM Break \n4:15 – 5:00 PM Presentation by Ms. Silke Neugebohrn \n5:00 – 5:30 PM Q&A\n\nSpeaker: \n \nFlorian’s experience lies in supporting international companies wanting to enter the Chinese market.
