SUMMARY:Accounting Health Check: How to Mitigate the Risk of Fraud in Your China Business
DESCRIPTION:  \nFiducia Management Consultants and The European Chamber of Commerce in South China are pleased to invite you to the upcoming Finance and Taxation Working Group meeting focusing on recognizing and mitigating the risk of fraud. \nToday\, more and more senior managers of WFOEs are responsible for ensuring enterprise risk management in their business. Maintaining compliant corporate governance and an internal control system helps companies to reduce costs\, uphold a good corporate reputation\, outperform competitors\, and attract investors whose support may aid in financing further growth. Poor corporate governance weakens a company’s potential and at worst\, makes way for financial difficulties and even fraud. \nChina has the second highest level of fraud in the world\, mostly perpetrated by senior management. Fraud committed by high-level senior executives typically costs a company significantly more than fraud committed by junior employees\, and requires more effective solutions. \nWe are delighted to share effective measures to mitigate the risk of fraud in your company at all levels\, by offering practical advice and answering the following questions: \n\nDo you know how to identify\, prevent\, and mitigate fraud risks?\nCan you detect manipulated financial information in China?\nWhat are red flags when it comes to fraud detection?\nHow can regular reviews and a proper health check help you prevent and detect risk?\n\n \n  \nJoin us on Tuesday\, September 5th\, in The Langham Shenzhen from 2:30-5:30 PM.\nNo.7888\, Shennan Avenue\, Futian District\, Shenzhen City\, Guangdong Province\nClick here for Google Maps\nClick here for Baidu Maps \nPlease sign up here by Tuesday\, August 29th. We look forwardt to welcoming you at this exciting event! \nOur Speakers: \n\nAddy Ma\nAddy is based in Shanghai as the Deputy Manager of Fiducia’s China Finance and Accounting team. Before joining Fiducia\, Addy worked for a food chain retailer in Canada as a senior accountant responsible for financial reporting and analysis. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\nHudson He\nHudson He heads both South and North China Finance and Accounting teams and travels frequently between these locations. He comes from a background of working for 6+ years in a “Big 4” accounting firm. SUMMARY:Diagnosing Risky Business and Keeping Your Transfer Pricing in Check – Shanghai
DESCRIPTION:  \nFiducia Management Consultants is pleased to invite you to a two-part seminar\, where we will discuss tax related current trends in China. \n1. Health Check for Risk Prevention\nChina has the second highest level of fraud in the world. Today\, more and more senior managers of WFOEs are responsible for managing risk in their business. Ensuring good corporate governance helps companies reduce costs\, uphold a good reputation\, overtake competitors\, and attract investors. Without a proper internal control system\, a company might underperform or at worst\, face financial difficulties or fraud. \nIn the first half of this seminar\, we will share effective measures to mitigate the risk of fraud in your company at all levels\, by answering the following questions: \n\nDo you know how to identify\, prevent\, and mitigate fraud risks?\nCan you detect manipulated financial information in China?\nWhat are red flags when it comes to fraud detection?\nHow can regular reviews and a proper health check help you prevent and detect risk?\n\n2. Transfer Pricing\nTransfer pricing has become a top priority for tax authorities. In July 2016\, China’s State Administration of Taxation (SAT) released “Announcement 42”\, a set of enhanced guidelines on how related-party transactions are reported and documented. In line with the global trend towards greater tax transparency\, transfer pricing in China is now evolving into a more complex process that requires constant review and fine-tuning. \nIn the second part of this seminar\, we will look at how your company can ensure transfer pricing compliance in China\, in lieu of newly instated regulations: \n\nDo you have any group transfer pricing policies?\nWhat transfer pricing documents are required in China and in Hong Kong?\nHow can you ensure legal compliance while also optimising efficiency?\nHow can SMEs prepare themselves for new reporting and documentation rules?\n\n \n  \nJoin us on Thursday\, July 6th in our Shanghai office\, 3:00-6:00 PM.\nUnit 604-605\, Central Plaza No. 227 North Huangpi Road Huangpu District\, Shanghai\nClick here for Google Maps\nClick here for Baidu Maps \nPlease RSVP via email by Thursday\, June 29th. We look forwardt to welcoming you at this exciting event! \n  \nOur Speakers: \nGloria Cheung\nGloria manages the Tax Advisory Service team and is responsible for providing tax services to corporate and individual clients for cross-border situations between Hong Kong and China. With her accumulated and extensive experience working in different industries handling MNCs’ accounting\, taxation and auditing\, she advises her clients with constructive and value-added services in tax\, audit\, and internal control areas. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nHudson He\nHudson He heads both South and North China Finance and Accounting teams and travels frequently between these locations. SUMMARY:IHK Bielefeld
SUMMARY:Building a Market Driven Company in a B2B2C World

SUMMARY:Austria Connect 2016
DESCRIPTION:From October 20 to 22\, 2016\, the AUSTRIA CONNECT Greater China took place for the first time in the Pearl River Delta metropolis of Guangzhou. Under the motto “Changing Environments”\, this is a top top event of the Austrian business community in China.Global economists and company leaders closely follow the development of China’s economy this year. The turmoil of the Chinese stock market in January\, rising labor costs and dwindling growth rates provide evidence that China has long entered the so-called “new normal”\, a phase of reduced speed of development which triggers a number of socio-economic consequences. The urban and industrial transformation taking place in China pushes modernization\, which in turn creates a shifting business environment and new opportunities for Austrian companies. This development is particularly visible in the Pearl River Delta. The exchange with representatives of Austrian businesses in China was at the heart of AUSTRIA CONNECT Greater China 2016. Expert presentations and panel discussions focused on specific consequences\, challenges\, and new opportunities China’s changing environment(s) may entail for Austrian companies doing business here. In addition\, tailor-made intercultural and business workshops were offered to the conference delegates. Highlights of the conference’s social program included a Cantonese gala dinner and visits at the old and new town of Canton (Guangzhou).Fiducia Managing Director Stefan Kracht was invited to speak about “Shi San Wu – Opportunities arising from China’s new 5-Year Plan”. Business Development Manager Florian Braunsteiner also attended this event.
