At Fiducia we see our annual staff trips as a way for us to do team building in a unique setting, while also getting to know the area in and around Greater China.
The Beijing office went to the newly opened town of Gubei Shuizhen (古北水镇), about 1.5 hours north of Beijing at the Great Wall from May 6th-7th. The group spent most of the first day exploring the town. In the evening they had a nice dinner, drinks next to the channel and attended a water fountain event. The weather on Saturday was beautiful and since they wanted to do something as a team, they opted for a hike to the town’s wall. After a late lunch they headed back into Beijing.
From May 21st-23rd the Shanghai office went to Jeju, a volcanic island between China, South Korea and Japan. It takes one hour to get there from Shanghai via airplane, so it was an ideal location. 29 team members participated in total. The first day was free, but almost everyone went to Udo, a small island east of Jeju. They lots of fun there riding bikes and swimming at the beach. In the evening they enjoyed a delicious Korean BBQ and afterwards some of the team went for karaoke. The second day was a Fiducia Trip and everyone hiked up the volcano and visited the Teddy Bear and Green Tea Museums together. After that they took a bus to the coast, which is famous for its volcanic landscape. The earth here is formed like sticks of rock, which was pretty amazing to see. Lunch included a variety of seafood and for dinner it was Korean BBQ again! The final day was free again. Some people went to the beach or city centre and a few people tried Korea’s famous Chicken + Beer!
From May 27th – 29th, 16 of our Shenzhen staff and some of their family members traveled to Sanya on China’s Hainan Island. Sanya is famous for its sun and beaches and it was an ideal location to hang out with family and friends. The group spent a whole day on Wuzhizhou Island, off the coast of Hainan. The weather was wonderful; the blue sky combined with the warm sun and clean seawater made it a very enjoyable and relaxing day. They also visited the famous Tianya Haijiao, a popular resort on the southern part of Hainan. The gigantic stones against the beautiful sea background made it the perfect location for a quick photo shoot. Everyone had a lot of fun and is looking forward to the next year staff club trip!
From the 23rd to 25th of September, 35 employees from the Hong Kong office, together with some family members, went to Taipei, Taiwan. We spent three days there as a part of our staff club activities. It was a very relaxing and joyful trip, with perfect weather every day! We started with free time on the first day and full day tour on the second day, where we visited the Shihfen Waterfall, Shihfen Old Street, Jingtong Station, Yehliu Geopark, and the shopping district of Ximending. On the third day, we continued to visit other places and enjoyed the amazing food and shopping that Taipei has to offer. Of course we bought lots of Taiwanese pineapple cakes! All in all it was a an enjoyable trip and we are very excited for next year!
