China Focus: What is your position and how long have you been with Fiducia?
Pinky: I have been with Fiducia for over 19 years working as Trade Services

processes. Besides order placement and invoicing, it also involves initial
factory audits in China, negotiation support with suppliers, quality control and
managing the merchandising documentation process.
CF: What previous work experience have you had?
P: Before joining Fiducia I worked for a subsidiary of JD Hutchison Co Ltd. as

joined Diamond Way Ltd., a sister company of the Hong Kong Bed and Bath Co. Ltd.

CF: What do you regard as the greatest challenge in your job?
P: Working with our globally operating clients is a great challenge in the way
that we are dealing at times with as many as 15 subsidiaries around the world.
Different needs and cultural backgrounds have to be considered along the process
to ensure a smooth transaction flow.
CF: What do you like about your job?
P: I like how through the close relations with our customers we naturally
become an extended part of their teams. Many client relationships have been
ongoing for years and we are being treated as part of the family.
CF: What is particularly interesting and challenging about working in the China
market?
P: Even after many years of dealing with Chinese suppliers my motto has stayed
the same: Everything is possible! Unexpected problems are the norm and each
situation requires an individual approach to be solved. This is what keeps
working in China so interesting and challenging.
CF: What projects are you working on now?
P: One of our current projects is a factory audit for a large Euopean client. As
part of the process we will evaluate the factory based on its structure,
organistion, administration, quality assurance, controlling facilities, building
facilities, and environmental protection.
CF: Good luck!
