Based in Fiducia’s Shanghai office, John is responsible for marketing and business development opportunities for the Shanghai and Beijing regions. He is the first point of contact for clients and liaises with many of Fiducia’s cooperation partners in addition to frequently contributing to CHINA FOCUS. John also represents Fiducia on the SME committee of the Canada China Business Council Shanghai Chapter.

Prior to joining Fiducia, John worked as a reporter for some of Canada’s major magazines, newspapers and TV networks. He also spent three years as a copywriter for Global Sources, a trade media provider and e-commerce website focusing on sourcing from China. A graduate of Carleton University’s bachelor of journalism program, John speaks, English, French and Mandarin Chinese.

When not working at Fiducia, John can be found browsing Shanghai’s bookshops and the Internet for the latest news and insights into the Chinese market place. He’s also a film buff and often spends evenings watching the latest films on DVD.
